Chi Phi Fraternity at University of Michigan

Yes, We Are Coming Back!

The Chi Phi National Office has had a team on the ground in Ann Arbor recruiting new members so we can reestablish Alpha-Tau. They will remain in Ann Arbor for the remainder of the Winter 2025 academic term. Their recruitment efforts have already been successful -- as of February 20th, we have 18 accepted bids! There will be more bids issued in coming weeks and the recruiting team expects an initial new member class of 25-30 students to be initiated on March 29th.  We expect Chi Phi Brothers to begin living in the Chapter House once again in the Fall of 2026!!!

Learn more about the reestablishment effort on the ATCHA website

In parallel to this Alumni Fundraising Campaign, we are also relaunching the 1530 Club Fundraising Campaign for significant donation levels.  If you have the means, please visit the 1530 Club Campaign Page to learn more!

Our reestablishment comes with two significant expenditures:

1) Fees owed to Chi Phi National for their reestablishment work on campus this semester - expected to be in the $40,000-50,000 range
2) Historical debt owed to U of M IFC and Chi Phi National from before the suspension - approximately $20,000

We really need every Alpha-Tau Alumni's help to fund these significant expenditures that have brought our cherished Alpha-Tau chapter back to Ann Arbor!

We are using our historical Alumni Dues Donation levels as follows:

Cornerstone Club:  Brother donates $1,926 to commemorate the opening of our Chapter House in 1926
Monk's Circle:  Brother makes a one-time $500 donation
Swanson Society:  Brother makes a one-time $250 donation
Chakett Club:  Brother makes a one-time $100 donation

Please choose the Monthly donation option if you would like to spread out your donation over the course of the next year.

Please be as generous as possible with your donation!!!
