Pokémon, Cherry Blossoms & Big Dreams: Avery’s Dream Room
Right now, Avery is bravely fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia, diagnosed on Christmas Day 2025. Treatment has been difficult, and the pain in her legs makes it hard for her to climb into bed, so she currently sleeps on a mattress on the floor. With your help, we can transform her room into a magical and comforting space designed just for her — a room that brings joy, imagination, and comfort during a very hard season.
Pokémon, Cherry Blossoms & Big Dreams: Avery’s Dream Room
Avery is a joyful, creative six-year-old who loves painting, drawing, collecting Pokémon cards, and playing video games with her siblings. She’s known for being bubbly, silly, and full of personality, and she loves anything colorful — especially pink, purple, and blue. Her dream bedroom includes Pokémon, cherry blossoms, LED lights, and a cozy space where she can relax in a bean bag chair and play games or listen to music.
But Avery’s life changed suddenly when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Christmas Day 2025. Since then, she has begun a long treatment journey that will last more than two years. Treatment has caused significant pain in her legs, making it difficult for her to walk and climb into bed. To help her stay comfortable, Avery currently sleeps on a mattress on the floor while her family tries to adapt her room to her needs.
Designing Dreams will transform Avery’s bedroom into the magical space she dreams about — a Pokémon-inspired room filled with cherry blossoms, calming lights, comfortable places to rest, and thoughtful storage so she and her sister can share the space more easily. For Avery, this room will be more than just a bedroom. It will be a place where she can rest, play, dream, and find moments of joy while bravely fighting cancer.
