Trouble is Stuck.
He was confiscated through law enforcement due to alleged animal cruelty. He needed immediate medical care and safety - and we were ready to provide both. What we weren’t prepared for was the waiting.

Trouble suffered a stab wound to the chest during a domestic dispute, but because his former owners are contesting the case in court, Trouble is now legally required to remain in our care until proceedings are resolved. Our hands are tied - he can't be adopted, he can only wait. Dogs like Trouble thrive in homes, not kennels - and our staff provides enrichment, medical attention, daily care, and compassion. BUT the emotional strain of confinement is real. We are watching a dog who deserves stability, but is experiencing stress he was never built for.
We are asking for your help to cover:
• His initial emergency hospital stay
• Ongoing boarding and daily care
• Food, enrichment, and behavioral support
Your donation will ensure that no matter how long this case takes, Trouble will receive the care, comfort, and dignity he deserves. He may be stuck in the system, but he will never be alone.

Cases like Trouble’s highlight an important challenge within animal welfare. When legal timelines stretch on, animals can remain in limbo for long periods of time. Our organization is actively working toward legislative improvements that would help animal cruelty cases move more efficiently - reducing stress on animals and allowing them to begin healing sooner.
