Alone & Suffering.

Diamond & Sapphire were found abandoned in the woods in Shark River Park - a horrible discovery sent one of them to surgery. Can you help support their care?

Her belly was full of glass.
Diamond & Sapphire are two beautiful frenchie mixed girls. So young and fragile, but abandoned to fend for themselves in the freezing cold. Diamond & Sapphire were skin and bones, filthy, had bloated abdomens, and were terrified 💔 Miraculously, a good Samaritan discovered them huddling together in the brush and called us immediately.
Diamond had trouble walking due to orthopedic abnormalities, most likely due to irresponsible breeding, so went in for x-rays. What we found was shocking and heartbreaking. A belly FULL of glass shards needing immediate surgical intervention. These girls must have been scavenging for scraps and found themselves eating whatever they could find. Diamond will need to be monitored for the next two weeks - we are cautiously optimistic that there is no lasting damage to her organs. Diamond is on special medication to coat her GI tract to prevent further discomfort - we are all rooting for her!

If you have any information about where these girls may have come from, please call the MCSPCA Law Enforcement Division at 732-440-1539 or email info@monmouthcountyspca.org. You may remain anonymous.
