About CADENA - Back to School
Access to education begins with having the right tools. However, for many children living in indigenous communities in Talamanca, Costa Rica, starting the school year without basic school supplies remains a significant challenge. Talamanca is one of the most underserved regions in the country. Children attending public schools in indigenous territories often face structural and economic barriers that limit their access to notebooks, pencils, backpacks, and other essential learning materials. Through this Back to School campaign, CADENA aims to support three public schools serving indigenous families by providing school supply kits that allow children to begin the academic year with dignity, confidence, and motivation. CADENA is a humanitarian organization with experience working alongside vulnerable communities in Costa Rica, responding to emergencies and addressing long-term needs through education, protection, and community-based support. This campaign is part of our ongoing commitment to equity, inclusion, and the right of every child to learn in safe and adequate conditions. Every donation—no matter the amount—directly contributes to the purchase and distribution of school supplies for children who need them most. 💙 Together, we can help ensure that no child is left behind at the start of the school year
