Uxbridge Police Officer Stephen LaPorta
On January 7th, Uxbridge Police officer Stephen LaPorta was tragically killed in a car accident while trying to help another driver on the side of Rt. 146.

Officer Stephen LaPorta, 43, of Uxbridge, died in the crash at 12:40 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway. LaPorta was on duty assisting a motorist at the time of the crash. Despite lifesaving efforts by emergency responders, LaPorta was pronounced dead at the scene.
