Support Mobility, Healing and Hope
Your support allows us to raise and train life-changing service and facility dogs as well as provide therapeutic outreach programs to kids, veterans and hospitalized patients throughout Colorado.

About Us
Canine Partners of the Rockies is a nonprofit accredited by Assistance Dogs International, dedicated to helping Coloradans with disabilities live more independent, confident lives through expertly trained mobility service dogs and facility dogs. We believe cost should never be a barrier to independence. That’s why we place our mobility service dogs at no placement fee, making life-changing partnerships accessible to more individuals and families across Colorado.
Mobility Service Dogs
Mobility service dogs transform everyday life for people living with disabilities. These highly trained partners assist with daily tasks such as opening and closing doors, retrieving dropped items like keys or wallets, using keycards for entry—and yes, some even help with the laundry. Beyond physical assistance, service dogs provide confidence, safety, and a renewed sense of independence that lasts a lifetime.
Community Support & Outreach
While in training, our dogs participate in therapeutic outreach at local schools, hospitals, counseling centers, and veteran programs. These visits provide meaningful connection and emotional support to individuals who need it most—at no cost to the community. At the same time, this real-world experience helps our dogs develop the confidence, adaptability, and social skills needed for future service or facility placements.
Facility Dogs
Facility dogs are specially trained to work alongside professionals in schools, hospitals, and counseling centers. They provide comfort, calm, and courage to children and adults navigating trauma, medical procedures, courtroom testimony, and emotional stress. Each facility dog completes approximately two years of training and is carefully matched to their professional partner.
