About our mission
The North Plains Food Bank is committed to addressing the critical food and essential needs of seniors and families in our area.
A Unique Challenge: North Plains, Oregon sits in a food desert. This creates a situation where access to essential food and daily necessities becomes a real struggle for our residents. We are unfortunately not an Oregon Food Bank partner, and rely solely on volunteers and donations from you, the public. We need you now more than ever!
No ordinary Tuesday
The day after Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday reminds us of the importance of giving back during the holidays. Since starting in 2012, GivingTuesday has continued to gain momentum. In 2024, 36.1 million people participated in the U.S. alone.
