Every meal has a story. Every donation helps write a better on.

Every morning in the Mkalama district of Tanzania, students walk miles to school carrying empty cups—hoping there will be safe water to drink. Before The Outreach Program installed Water-Point systems, many children drank from unsafe sources or went without water the entire school day.

Many students often were frequently  tired, distracted, and weak. Some missed several days of school each month due to stomach illnesses caused by contaminated water. Everything changed the day their schools received a WaterPoint system.

For the first time, so many of these children filled their cups with clean, safe water—right on school grounds.  Attendance improved,  grades improved. And for the first time for many they are not missing school because of waterborne sickness.

Now multiply each child's story by 64,000. That’s how many students across the Mkalama district depend on clean water to stay healthy, stay in school, and build a better future.
