The Crisis We're Fighting
By 2030, nearly one-third of Brooklyn students will attend Hasidic yeshivas. There are children who complete school unable to read or write proficiently in English and who are unprepared for careers and economic independence.
One father shared: "A state evaluation revealed that despite my son's high IQ, his academic knowledge and vocabulary were considerably below average." This is the reality for thousands of families across New York as tens of thousands of Jewish children in New York are attending schools where they receive little to no instruction in basic subjects.
