Standing Strong Together
For more than 60 years, St. Francis Neighborhood Center has been a steady force for good in West Baltimore—empowering youth, strengthening families, and building community. And we’re not going anywhere.
Today, that stability matters more than ever. Severe cuts to government funding have left many local programs struggling or closing their doors. Students and families are being referred to us, resulting in higher enrollment and waitlist numbers than we’ve ever seen.
Families are also turning to services like our food pantry with greater urgency. Since summer, our food distribution attendance has approximately doubled.
In this moment of rising need and shrinking resources, your support is what keeps us standing strong. Thank you!

Our Mission
St. Francis Neighborhood Center dismantles inequity by cultivating community connections through tailored education and social interventions for West Baltimore.
We were founded in 1963 to serve a growing segment of our community in need of inaccessible services. For over 60 years, we have continuously evolved to develop programs in response to present needs, offering transformative out-of-school programs, weekly food distributions, annual resource fairs, tailored programming for older adults, and more. Through the years, our purpose has remained the same: bring services to those in need.
