Give to Get Homeless Pets the Urgent Medical Care They Need!

Thanks to two generous supporters, gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $65,000!
Their Lives are in Your Hands
Almost every day at ACCT Philly, we see dogs and cats who have urgent medical issues we can't address at the shelter. We used to have to say no to being able to help them, lacking the funds to do so. Now, thanks to our donor-supported urgent medical funds, the Yoda Fund for dogs and the Stella Fund for cats, we are often able to say yes to helping them and send them off-site to a local veterinary hospital where they get the medical care they so urgently need.
These critical funds were established by visionary donors who saw that savable animals were dying for want of the specialized care, sometimes just diagnostics, that could save their lives.
Today, as we're seeing more and more medically urgent animals, the funds are running on empty, and you are needed more than ever to make sure we can provide them with the care they deserve.
This Giving Tuesday, your gift will help us continue to give second chances to dogs and cats who may have no chance without you. Give a gift to the Yoda Fund, the Stella Fund, or, to support both cats and dogs, to the Urgent Medical Care Fund.
Here's what your gift today can do!

The Yoda Fund

Founded in 2019 by ACCT Board member Marsha Perelman in memory of her dog Yoda, a rescue who needed significant medical care while at the shelter. The Yoda Fund covers the cost of off-site veterinary care for medically urgent dogs.
Cinnamon owes her life to the Yoda Fund and to the caring people who support it.
Cinnamon was thrown from a second-story window, breaking her leg in multiple places. She was screaming in pain and needed IV pain medication to make her comfortable, and needed her leg to be set to give it a chance to heal properly.
The Yoda fund enabled us to give her the care she needed through one of our veterinary specialty partners. Another donor stepped forward to offer to pay for her ongoing medical care with rescue. Once she was stabilized, Cinnamon was transferred into the care of one of our amazing rescue partners. They are helping her to recover and will work to find her a forever home.
Your gift to the Yoda Fund today will help to save more dogs like Cinnamon and give them the second chance at a new life they deserve.

The Stella Fund

The Stella Fund was named after a beloved cat adopted from ACCT Philly. Sadly she has passed on, but her legacy lives through in the lives that are saved by the Stella Fund. The Fund covers the cost of off-site veterinary care for medically urgent cats.
Thanks to the Stella Fund, Bridgette received the surgery needed to repair the front part of her lower lip which had been torn away from where it normally attaches to the jaw. She's a bit of a thing, just five months old and less than two pounds. Right now, she's doing great in foster care, and will be spayed and ready for adoption soon!
Your gift to the Stella Fund today will ensure that more cats like Bridgette get the specialized veterinary care that will give them a chance to find a loving home.
