Skyline Recovery Support

On the morning of Sunday, October 26th, there was an isolated fire caused by the failure of an electrical component at CommonBond's Skyline Tower in St. Paul, Minnesota. This triggered the release of sprinklers and a shut down of all major building systems.

Can you imagine having to leave your home within just a few hours? What would you eat the next day? How would you get to work and your children to school?

Within 24 hours, our team referred most families to hotels and provided meals. We are putting the proper infrastructure in place to get residents what they need during this time and plan for a safe return home to residents once building repairs are complete. With your support, we can continue to be there for residents to minimize the disruption to their lives.

Update: We are deeply grateful to share that all Skyline residents have now moved back into their homes, less than 90 days after the fire. Throughout the displacement, our team ensured residents had the care, stability, and resources they needed. 

We anticipated about $1.5 million in uninsurable expenses. Thanks to our community, $1 million has already been raised! Will you help us close the remaining $430,000 gap at Skyline – so we can complete this recovery without diverting funds from other critical resident-support programs?
