Why Give Now?

Despite making up half the population, women hold only 28% of computing jobs. The gap starts young—and it's widening. Girls often receive the message that technology "isn't for them" before they even reach middle school.

Technovation changes that story. Our programs give girls hands-on experience building real apps and AI solutions that solve problems in their communities. They don't just learn to code—they learn to lead, pitch ideas, and see themselves as innovators.

Right now, thousands of girls are waiting to join Technovation programs, but we need resources to reach them. Your gift today directly expands access.

What Your Gift Does

In 2015, Hannah joined Technovation with a bold idea: build an app that visualizes crime data to help people stay safe in their communities. It was her first time applying code to solve a real problem—and it worked.

Today, Hannah is a Software Engineer at Google, where she builds features used by millions of people every day.

"Technovation was my first real-world application of coding, and it showed me the impact that I could have as a software engineer," Hannah reflects. "Technovation made us feel empowered that as young women, we could not only be successful in this industry, but that we could be leaders."

Your gift creates more Hannahs—girls who don't just enter tech, they transform it.

In 2015, 14 year old Soumya from India, joined Technovation—her first introduction to technology. She struggled to find female role models in the field.

Today, she's building an AI-powered platform that helps underrepresented founders start businesses by simplifying compliance and operations. She's also invested in dozens of startups and held leadership roles at Sardine AI, Cameo, and Coda.

"Technovation didn't just open a door for me. It propelled me through it," Soumya says. "I've been writing checks to underrepresented founders, and started and launched ventures and projects of my own."

From finding no role models to becoming one—this is the ripple effect of your donation.

— Ephy Yunan, Women Techmakers Ambassador & Technovation Mentor, Kenya

“I walked in without any knowledge about AI and coding. I'm leaving with the confidence that I can teach my students the benefits and AI and prepare them for coding careers in the future.”

– Alfonso Vasquez, Educator at Lockhart Independent School District

"Technovation shows how technology can make a real-world difference. Watching young girls build solutions for their communities—like an app to assist the visually impaired—reinforces why we invest in the next generation of innovators."
