This year, trans and gender diverse folks across the country have faced wave after wave of attacks on their rights—and our community in Chicago was no different. Even our sanctuary city felt shifts in public support for trans lives in early response to baseless executive orders.

Community Pantry Visits
Fresh produce, nutrient-dense foods, and house and hygiene items can all be picked up from the Community Pantry — free of charge and open to all, welcoming those who may feel uncomfortable visiting local pantries that may be religiously affiliated or require proof of need.

Dignity Suite Visits
The Dignity Suite offers a host of identity expression supports free and accessible to our participants. Community members are welcome to stop by and browse clothing, wigs, makeup, and other identity-affirming items such as binders, packers, trans tape and more.

Brave Space prides ourselves on being a one-stop shop for those in need of community care. Our doors are open to any and everyone, whether they are seeking food items, new clothing, a mental health wellness check in, or just a moment spent with community.
