A Story of Courage and Connection
When Joseph came to Children's Home in 2018, he was searching for stability and a sense of belonging.
Years later, when his younger brother Robert re-entered care, Joseph made a decision that would shape both of their futures- he stayed close. Now 18, Joseph is part of the Supervised Independent Living Program, learning to manage his own apartment, budget for groceries, and prepare for adulthood. He's grown into a young man who leads with kindness and courage. The staff who know him best describe him as polite, resilient, and deeply loyal to the people he loves. Robert, Joseph’s younger brother, has also shown incredible growth. After a childhood filled with uncertainty, he’s found stability at Children’s Home, too. With the support of dedicated mentors and consistent behavioral health services, Robert is thriving academically, earning straight A’s, and learning to trust again.
Despite all they've endured, the brothers continue to be each other's greatest source of hope. Their story reminds us that when a child feels safe, supported, and surrounded by love, remarkable transformation is possible.
