#GivingTuesday at Juma Sacramento!
At Juma, we believe a first job can change everything.
For young people from underresourced communities, early employment isn’t just a paycheck – it’s a pathway. Research shows that working during formative years, especially in trauma-informed, supportive environments like the ones Juma manages at Golden 1 Center, leads to stronger career outcomes, higher lifetime earnings, and greater community impact.
Right now, that opportunity is out of reach for too many.
More young people than ever are coming to Juma, seeking not just jobs, but mentorship, belonging, and support. Our waitlist is growing, and with demand expected to rise even more in 2026, the urgency is real. Every name on that list represents potential – a young person ready to work, if only given the opportunity.
The opportunity starts with you!
Next year, thousands of young people will search for their first job, and many will turn to Juma. But we can’t meet the growing demand alone. When you support Juma, you’re helping create real opportunities for youth to build confidence and achieve lasting success. Together, we’re empowering individuals, strengthening families, and making a positive impact in our community.

#GivingTuesday Starts With You!
Every year, Juma empowers young people with the opportunities, training, and support they need to get a strong start on their career pathways.
