Wags Needs You.
A beautiful golden retriever puppy who was in a tragic accident, Wags is now fighting for his life.
Wags was born in a foster home after a pregnant golden retriever was surrendered to our shelter. After the puppies were weaned, we found Wags a forever home with another dog. The initial dog meet and first day went well, but the next day, Wags was attacked by the other dog over a bone that had unknowingly been left outside in the backyard.
Wags sustained severe lacerations to his face, as well as internal injuries causing nose bleeds, abnormal breathing, and vomiting. Wags has intermittently been on oxygen support and consistent monitoring to make sure he remains stable enough to receive care without invasive intervention.
He needs ongoing medical and financial support to make it through this 💔
This boy is so young and fragile and is receiving the best care at GSVS - we are remaining cautiously optimistic for his full recovery. Wags was so bright and loving before his injuries - we're hoping he can make it through this to live a full life!
