The Cranes' Journey

The Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is a crucial resting stop for the Sandhill Cranes during fall migration. Conserving this habitat is vital for these large birds and makes for a premier birding experience.

The best viewing times are dawn and dusk, from mid-October through early November. Learn more about the cranes and where to visit below.
