Your donation supports continued education and habitat conservation on the refuge for these cranes.

Through October 31, 2025 when you join the celebration for $20 or more, you’ll receive a 2"x3.5" commemorative Sandhill Crane sticker! You’ll also be joining or renewing your Friends membership while showing your support for the cranes, educational programs, and the entire refuge!

The Cranes' Journey
The Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is a crucial resting stop for the Sandhill Cranes during fall migration. Conserving this habitat is vital for these large birds and makes for a premier birding experience.
The best viewing times are dawn and dusk, from mid-October through early November. Learn more about the cranes and where to visit below.
