About ARROAutism Family Holiday Assistance Project
Winter holidays are challenging for many families who often face additional burdens. Some struggle to afford enough food to last through the month, while others cannot provide holiday gifts for their children. Autism also brings added stressors, such as increased meltdowns and anxiety. These holidays are meant to be a time of joy, sharing meals, celebrating family traditions, and enjoying the warmth of togetherness. Sadly, for many families living with autism, this is not the reality.
Consider the holiday traditions and customs of your family and how important they are to you and your family during the winter. Imagine that you could not participate in those traditions and customs, how sad you and your family would feel.
Your donation will help the families with Autism in our Family Holiday Assistance project to have a gift card that will allow them to choose items of food, winter clothing, or small holiday gifts to help them to experience the warmth of their
Family Holiday traditions and customs.
