About the Healing Sanctuary
The Healing Sanctuary is 4-acre campus designed to connect trauma survivors with the healing power of nature and provide specialized facilities, resources and programs in the safe and welcoming setting needed to improve and support the healing process.
The Healing Sanctuary will offer:
• The Healing Center – designed by therapists from the ground up with every element and resource necessary to create the most conducive environment for therapeutic healing for high-trauma physical and sexual abuse survivors.
• Interactive Therapy Gardens – promoting psychological well-being. Working in gardens is a proven avenue for survivors to heal and cope with trauma-reducing depression and negative feelings.
• Therapy Farm – Interactions with animals provides physical and psychological benefits to survivors of trauma and abuse as well as improving general health and offering an essential connecting point with therapists and caregivers.
• The Inspiration Center – will host and provide additional facilities space for direct services, youth activities, and trauma-informed programs as part of wraparound care.
• Wraparound Support Funding – is an intensive, individualized care that identifies the impediments that inhibit a survivor from receiving the care they need to receive the healing support they require.
