About Power of Pink
The Power of Pink Luncheon is an annual fundraiser benefiting the Margie Petersen Breast Center at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, and breast cancer research and breast cancer surgical training at the Saint John’s Cancer Institute. Power of Pink is brought to you by the Power of Pink Committee, led by Co-Chairs Kim Kraver Lee and Ellen Weitman, in partnership with Saint John’s Health Center Foundation.
Since 2022, the event has raised over $1,000,000 and is just getting started! Each year, 400 warrior supporters come together for an informative and inspiring program and lunch, boutique shopping, and a luxury silent and live auction.
For over 30 years, the Margie Petersen Breast Center has provided women with state-of-the-art treatment options, the latest clinical trials and patient support services that address a woman's physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. The physicians and surgeons who treat and care for patients work directly with research scientists at the Saint John’s Cancer Institute to advance patient care, and to chart new directions for finding a cure for breast cancer.
Ruth Weil Spirit of Hope Honoree:
Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath
(Los Angeles County, 3rd District)

Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath was sworn into the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on December 5, 2022. Just one year later, she made history as the youngest-ever Chair of the Board. She is the first millennial and currently the only renter serving on LA County’s all-women Board of Supervisors, bringing a much-needed perspective to solve the region’s most pressing challenges.
For 2025, she is focused on leading the nation’s fastest disaster response following the devastating Palisades Fire and overhauling the homeless services system.
Since coming to the Board, she has led the County’s homelessness emergency response, helping drive the first decrease in homelessness in nearly a decade. She has taken bold action on the climate by launching the Blue Ribbon Commission on Climate Action & Fire-Safe Recovery and advanced the LA County Water Plan. She has worked to protect reproductive freedom and marginalized communities in the work of the County. She is also a passionate advocate for breast cancer awareness and other issues in women’s health.
A reformer at her core, she championed Measure G to transform how LA County governs—expanding representation, strengthening ethics, and creating an elected County Executive.
She previously served as Councilmember and the longest consecutively serving Mayor of West Hollywood.
