Marblehead Turns Pink for Ellie Fund 2025
Marblehead has always been a town that shows up. In a time of uncertainty, Marblehead’s sailors offered Washington's army what the country needed most: calm resolve, steady hands and a way forward. Generations later, Marblehead continues to show up with quiet strength when it matters most.
Today, we’re taking on a different kind of challenge — to help local women and men facing breast cancer. This October, we invite you to be part of Marblehead Turns Pink for Ellie, a town-wide campaign in support of the Ellie Fund, which provides free and essential services to breast cancer patients in Massachusetts. These services include transportation to treatment, meal deliveries, grocery cards, childcare reimbursement, and more — all to ease the burden of care during an incredibly difficult time.
Our main goal in Marblehead is simple: awareness. We want every person in town to know that Ellie Fund exists and that help is available. That’s why we’re asking to show your support by going pink in any way that feels right for you.
About October for Ellie 2025
Since 1995, Ellie Fund has provided essential services to patients undergoing breast cancer treatment - at no charge to the patients or their families - so they can focus on what matters most, without the additional financial burden that a breast cancer diagnosis brings. Every breast cancer patient in active treatment in Massachusetts is eligible for services and they choose from among the following: grocery gift cards, healthy prepared & delivered meals, transportation to appointments, childcare, housekeeping and integrative therapies such as oncology massage and acupuncture. With 7,000 new breast cancer cases annually in MA, we need your help to connect patients with Ellie Fund services to relieve emotional, logistical, and financial stress during treatment.
