What we do:
The purpose of Special Olympics Arizona is to empower children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) to live healthy, fulfilling, and meaningful lives to the fullest extent of their abilities. We realize our vision of acceptance and inclusion through inclusive health, leadership and advocacy programs, as well as our mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Special Olympics Arizona has been serving children and adults with ID since 1975—more than 50 years! Our Special Olympics Arizona Programs in Kingman support over 400 participants. The cost for an athlete to participate in one sport annually is $600. Most athletes participate in multiple sports. Your sponsorship will allow our athletes to continue doing what they love at no cost while keeping 100% of everything raised in Kingman.
