What is 78 Pueblos y Una Bandera?

78 Pueblos y Una Bandera is a mural movement started by Puerto Rican artist Héctor Collazo Hernández, painting a flag in every town in Puerto Rico as a symbol of pride, healing, and community.

Why Lorain?

Lorain is home to one of the largest Puerto Rican communities in the Midwest. Generations of families have helped shape this city, and now it’s time to honor that legacy through art.

About El Centro

El Centro has served Lorain’s Latino community for over 50 years. It is more than a building. It is a hub of culture, support, and belonging, making it the perfect home for this mural.
