Help Fund Kyra Davis' Capstone Project with The Tank NYC

Kyra's Capstone
Hi everyone! Thanks for clicking and making it this far. I am a producing fellow with The Tank NYC, a hub for new talent. This fellowship allows me to line-produce three productions at The Tank and learn my unique producing style. My cohort consists of three other early-career producers, and we are granted the opportunity to produce a curatorial project for our capstone or any other devised piece. For mine, I have chosen to produce a 29-hour workshop reading of my new play, Lot #18, that has been a part of a development program with Workshop Theater.
About The Play
Lot #18 is a Black southern family drama set on Christmas Eve, 1999, in a small North Alabama town. After the passing of the family patriarch, the McMorrison children commune in their childhood home for the holidays, bringing grief, trauma, liquor, and years of unresolved tension. Over the course of Christmas Eve, old wounds are reopened, sibling grievances reignited, and a long-held question of inheritance threatens to fracture the familial bonds forever. At its heart, Lot #18 is about the cost of silence, the weight of legacy, and how Black women navigate power, protection, and personal freedom across generations.
What I Need
During my fellowship, I will receive $2,000 to produce this reading. My goal is to fundraise an additional $2,500, which will go directly to paying actors a better rate, craft services, and other design materials.
