Neville House Projects

Neville House Enterprises, Inc. (“Neville House Projects”) is a family-owned and operated business that develops creative projects in music, visual arts, New Orleans culture, youth education, and other creative projects - all rooted deeply in the cultural legacy of New Orleans. Founded by members of the city’s First Family of Funk—legendary musician Cyril Neville, his wife Gaynielle Neville, and their daughter Liryca Neville B.—Neville House Projects was created not only to manage the careers of family members but to preserve and expand the impact of their rich musical heritage. Neville House Projects manages the professional creative endeavors of Cyril Neville and his youngest son, Omari Neville, a talented musician in his own right who carries the family’s torch forward into a new generation.

The Neville family’s contributions to American music—especially funk, soul, and rhythm & blues—are foundational to the sound of New Orleans and influential worldwide. Neville House Projects exists to honor this legacy while providing a platform for cultural preservation, education, and artistic development. As an intergenerational, artist-led organization, its mission is both creative and community-driven. The family sees music not just as a profession but as a sacred tradition—a means to uplift, teach, and unite people across backgrounds.

Neville House Projects is fiscally sponsored by Allied Arts Foundation to fund its projects, grow its reach and impact to more creative community members world-wide. AAF’s Fiscal sponsorship will allow Neville House Projects to operate with the financial oversight and nonprofit status required to accept tax-deductible donations, apply for grants, and partner with foundations, educational institutions, and cultural organizations. With this support, Neville House aims to expand programming in areas such as music education, youth mentorship, historical archiving, cultural storytelling, and performance arts.

One major initiative includes developing a mentorship and apprenticeship program where seasoned musicians like Cyril Neville and other members of the broader Neville family can work with emerging artists, sharing skills and preserving musical traditions. This kind of work requires sustainable funding, which fiscal sponsorship can help unlock.

Additionally, the family hopes to launch multimedia projects, including a documentary series and digital archive chronicling their journey through the music industry, their roots in New Orleans’ rich American Indian and Creole traditions, and their vision for the future of funk and soul. These projects will serve not only as entertainment but as powerful educational tools for future generations.

By partnering with a fiscal sponsor, Neville House Projects can continue to create meaningful, community-centered work while accessing the financial tools and nonprofit resources that allow such efforts to flourish. Support for this endeavor means more than preserving the past—it means investing in a living cultural force that continues to shape the sound and soul of a city, a region, and a people.

Neville House Projects is not just a business—it’s a living legacy. With fiscal sponsorship, it can become an even stronger vessel for cultural enrichment, generational mentorship, and transformative artistic expression.

Neville House Projects raises money through sales of its project art, performance fees, grants and individual donations.
