Empower International has been working in Myanmar since 2005. Today, we have a network of leaders and national missionaries who are eager and ready to help the survivors of this monster earthquake.

The Strategic Relief Plan

Mission:

Empower International’s mission is to provide immediate relief and long-term recovery to families affected by the earthquake in Myanmar.

By sponsoring a family, donors will help provide the essentials needed for survival and recovery.

Your Part:

Your contribution will make a tangible difference in the lives of those in urgent need, showing God’s love in action.

We invite you to join us in this critical effort to restore hope, rebuild lives, and empower the communities of Myanmar.

Together, we can bring lasting change to those who need it most.

Strategy:

If we have sufficient resources, our strategy is as follows:

Assessment and Coordination: Immediately deploy a team to assess the needs of affected communities and coordinate with local churches and relief groups to ensure efficient aid distribution.

Sponsorship Program: Launch a family sponsorship program where donors can sponsor one or more families by covering the costs of food, water, hygiene, shelter, and medical care for two weeks.

Logistics and Distribution: Work with local partners and volunteer networks to distribute relief supplies directly to affected families. Priority will be given to the most vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and pregnant women.

Long-Term Support: Empower International will support rebuilding efforts for homes and community infrastructure after the immediate relief phase. We will also provide psychological and spiritual counseling through local ministers.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Empower International will track the progress of the relief efforts and regularly update sponsors on the impact of their contributions. We will also assess the program's effectiveness through feedback from beneficiaries and local partners, regular site visits, and reports from local teams.

Phase Plan:

Phase 1: Immediate Relief (0-2 months): Distribute food, water, shelter, and medical supplies to affected families. Focus on providing emotional and spiritual support through counseling.

Phase 2: Recovery and Rebuilding (3-12 months): Build homes and infrastructure and establish long-term recovery programs for affected communities.

Phase 3: Empowerment and Sustainability (1-3 years): Promote community development, economic recovery, and resilience-building to ensure families are better prepared for future challenges.
