Teeing off for Talia.
We are incredibly honored to announce our beneficiary of our Second Annual Fore One Purpose Golf Tournament – TALIA. Talia is an incredible 19-year-old young woman who is fighting for her life, with her disease, Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 4J (CMT4J), progressing every day. It has stolen her ability to walk, breathe on her own, feed herself, and even give warm hugs to her loved ones. Her mother, Jocelyn, and her family have done everything in their power to save Talia. They are even trial-ready, having received an Orphan Drug Designation, a Rare Pediatric Drug Designation, and IND approval from the FDA, with funding being the only obstacle standing in their way to treatment. Jocelyn shares, "As her mom, it is a parent's worst nightmare and absolutely heartbreaking to know that a treatment for her—quite literally—sits on a shelf, but we cannot get it to her or others due to a lack of funding."
Please join us as we tee off for this worthy cause to help raise awareness for CMT4J and funds to support Talia and her family in their pursuit of treatment. We know that together, and through our community, we can make a difference for Talia, among others living with this devastating diagnosis.
