Support Roosevelt Athletics

Your donation to Roosevelt Middle School's Athletics Program will help inner city youth in Oakland have an out-of-this world experience.

The Roosevelt Middle School community faces many challenges, including funding issues, safety concerns, and now the threat of possible deportation.

It is critical that these students have a safety net such as sports. Along with its physical benefits, participation in sports is associated with improved mental health, lower rates of anxiety, and higher self esteem.

Marred by a bad reputation within the immediate community - in large part due to the growing rate of homelessness, drugs, human trafficking, and various criminal activities - Roosevelt Middle School is often portrayed in a negative light.

With a thriving sports program in the works, we are actively changing the narrative one sport at a time. Through positive reinforcements, accountability, daily check-ins and having a study hall for athletes, we are setting a solid foundation for the leaders of tomorrow.
