Samaritan’s Feet is partnering with World Shoe to multiply our reach and mobilize our networks to impact the lives of millions of people through our Shoes of HOPE initiative. The World Shoe is the first shoe of its kind, specifically designed to promote health and hygiene by fighting disease in some of the most impoverished areas of the world.
You have the unique opportunity to partner with us and walk in the way of the Good Samaritan. Take notice of a world in need and refuse to ignore the suffering. Provide much needed footwear to promote health and healing. Walk alongside the child in need, washing their feet, giving them shoes, and inspiring hope in their spirit through your presence and prayers.
More than 600 Million children around the world live without access to shoes. They are susceptible to dangerous pathogens, worms and insects that enter the body through bare feet causing pain, disease and disability. Without proper footwear, millions of children are denied proper access to educational opportunities and their parents are unable to be productive wage earners for their families.
Shoe wearing and proper hygiene have proven to be two of the most effective ways to protect children from foot borne diseases such as soil-transmitted helminths.
The World Shoe is the first shoe of its kind, specifically designed to promote health and hygiene by fighting disease in some of the most impoverished areas of the world. The World Shoe is also manufactured locally in Ghana, West Africa, providing jobs and economic empowerment to communities that need it the most.
Partner with us as we develop collaborative partnerships to raise awareness, advocate for shoe-wearing, promote hygiene, invest in economic empowerment for African women and youth, and secure the funding necessary to distribute World Shoes along with essential health services to the 1.5 Billion people worldwide affected by insufficient access to life-giving protective and preventive footwear.
We need your support to achieve our audacious goal of #ZeroShoelessPeople.
GIVE HOPE today!

In 2024, more than 300,000 pairs of World Shoes were delivered to seven African countries — Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Niger, and Sierra Leone — as part of health and hygiene initiatives. In collaboration with 11 distribution partners, 91% of these distributions participated in the WASH&WEAR program, and 100% included bundled health services along with shoe distribution.
In 2025, over 450,000 pairs of World Shoes are projected for distribution through partnership commitments in 12 countries — Belize, Liberia, the US, Burundi, South Africa, Ghana, Malawi, Turks & Caicos, Zambia, Argentina, Kenya, and Congo.

Hygiene Education is the cornerstone of World Shoe’s WASH&WEAR methodology. Demonstrating proper hand and foot hygiene and providing literature to promote good hygiene habits leads to transformational behavior in vulnerable communities. Our full WASH&WEAR distribution combines hygiene, health services, and access to footwear in a breakthrough bundle of health interventions.
