the 6th annual Ariel Memorial WOD

Honor Ariel's legacy. Fight Childhood Cancer.

On May 10, 2025, CrossFit A.I.M. and Fianna Foundation will co-host the 6th annual "ARIEL" workout, in honor of Ariel Silvaggio.  The gym will be open to members and guests to participate and help raise money to support childhood cancer research.

All proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, Pediatric Cancer Research. We are requesting a $40 tax-deductible donation for each participant. In the last three years, we have raised over $55,000 for childhood cancer research through our WOD! Anyone, regardless of age or ability level, can participate. Every participant will receive a free Ariel WOD bracelet and t-shirt! Workout times will be available starting at 7:30 AM on May 10th. OUR WHY
Ariel Silvaggio, born 5/11/12, was only 5 years old when she was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She fought through several rounds of chemotherapy, countless blood transfusions, two rounds of CAR-T therapy, and a bone marrow transplant. On January 8, 2020, just two and a half years later, sweet Ariel passed away. She was only 7 years old.

Childhood cancer is a serious disease. It remains the number one disease killer of children in the United States today. Every day, 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. and 20% of them will not survive it.
