The Revolving Repair Fund

At Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte, we believe everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home. As we continue to grow, we now have the ability to leverage government funding sources for our critical home repair and accessibility projects. However, these funding sources operate on a reimbursement basis, requiring us to pay for project expenses upfront and then submit for reimbursement upon completion. This creates a critical need for more operating capital to keep projects moving and prevent delays for families in need.

Sustainable Solution for Home Repairs

The Revolving Repair Fund is an internal revolving fund used solely for the direct project expenses (hard costs) of our reimbursable projects. By ensuring we have the necessary resources available, this fund allows us to repair multiple homes at once without slowing down to wait for reimbursements. Once the reimbursements are received, the fund is replenished to continue revolving on a permanent basis.

Why Your Support Matters

Maximizing Impact: Government funding allows us to invest significantly more in each home, addressing more safety and health hazards for long-term stability.

Sustained Support: Instead of a one-time contribution to cover a single home repair, an investment in the Revolving Repair Fund helps repair three to four homes per year indefinitely.

Reducing Wait Times: With sufficient operating capital, we can prevent delays and reduce the growing waitlist for homeowners in need of repairs.
