SEATTLE CREATES
SEATTLE CREATES is a workforce development initiative aimed at fostering creativity and career growth across Washington’s Arts, Tech, and Creative industries. By offering free or affordable monthly workshops, we help individuals build professional skills, promote regional innovation, and create accessible career pathways for anyone interested in pursuing a creative profession, regardless of age, social status, or background. Our mission is to strengthen the local creative economy and foster meaningful community connections that drive collaboration and innovation. We embrace diversity and welcome people from all walks of life into our creative ecosystem.
As part of the SEATTLE CREATES series, workshop participants gain access to an exciting, cross-industry networking in new environments each month. We open up professional studios, theaters, corporate offices, colleges, maker spaces, and other adjacent locations throughout the Seattle Metro area where our guests can experience culture in action. Attendees have the chance to engage with industry leaders, business development experts, and peers through interactive demos, cross-industry panels (arts + tech), dynamic conversations, and break-out group exercises. In addition to our monthly workshops, we provide various complimentary drop-in classes and a cultural events calendar highlighting upcoming field trips, open studios, and relevant productions.
All donations directly support the production of this program, including compensating artists, speakers, producers, and educators, as well as securing the venues, equipment (audio, lighting), and other marketing resources (print, photography, social media) necessary to continue offering this initiative to the next gen of our local creative workforce. Thank you in advance for your kind consideration and support of interdisciplinary careers in Arts + Tech!
SEATTLE CREATES is a fiscally sponsored project of the Allied Arts Foundation.
