Help us Celebrate More than just a Birthday.

This fund supports efforts of the Brooke It Forward Birthday Box program to bring the LOVE and HOPE of Christ to children who have been abused and/or neglected and children who are fostered, homeless or in other circumstances where their birthdays might be overlooked or not celebrated.

Brooke It Forward Foundation achieves this mission by partnering with agencies who provide services the children the foundation aims to reach. Brooke It Forward delivers colorful Birthday Boxes containing cake mix, icing, party supplies, gifts, and more to these partner agencies. The agencies gift the boxes to the children and their families around the time of the child's birthday.

The Brooke It Forward Foundation Fund is a fund of the Northshore Community Foundation an organization described by I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3) as a nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal income tax and to which contributions may be tax deductible in whole or in part as a charitable contribution. Brooke It Forward was founded in 2019 by Marie and Todd Gregory in honor of their daughter, Brooke Posey. To mark what would have been her 20th birthday, Brooke’s family delivered 20 boxes to Hope House Children’s Advocacy Center. Since that time, Brooke It Forward has provided over 2,300 boxes for more than 13 partner agencies. Covering 19 parishes (and one facility in Florida), Brooke It Forward’s partners now include six children’s advocacy centers, three Court-Appointed Special Advocate programs, and the Samaritan Center.

Most recently, BIFF has teamed up with the Northshore Food Bank. Since 2019, BIFF has delivered over $130,000 worth of birthday joy—literally adding up to more than 6 tons of “Birthday Box” fun!

What goes in a Birthday Box?

Granted not all Birthday Boxes are exactly the same. And, that's a good thing! Each box represents a gift as unique as the child who receives it. However, there are some common elements to each box. Cake Mix, Candles, Party Plates, Napkins, Ice Cream. Reminders of God's Love (Wooden Cross John 3:16-17), 4 age appropriate gifts, and a $25 grocery gift card. A few of "Brooke's Favorite Things" Biscoff Cookies, Rubber Ducks, "Horse Mints", Ring Pops and Haribo Gummi Bears.
