Vehicle Trunk Safes: $7,250

To ensure the safety of both officers and the public, the Narcotics Unit requests funding for three vehicle safes to securely store firearms, including AR-15s, during operations. These firearms are crucial for executing high-risk warrants targeting drug trafficking and illegal firearms. Without proper safekeeping, stolen weapons could pose a significant public safety risk. The safes will help maintain operational security, protect officers' equipment, and enhance safety.

Resuscitator being used by Training Unit

FUNDED: Tourniquets & Resuscitators: $8,100

New tourniquets and air-mask bag resuscitators are urgently needed to maintain quality training and enhance lifesaving efforts. Training tourniquets, vital for recruits and officer refreshers, are in dire need of replacement. Air-mask bag resuscitators, introduced last year, enable officers to deliver high-quality breaths and CPR to non-breathing victims during emergencies like cardiac arrests or traffic accidents. Providing these tools ensures officers are fully equipped to save lives.
