Hemophilia of Georgia's
Global Aid Impact
Hemophilia of Georgia (HoG) is a trusted leader and partner around the world. We provide much needed funding for global aid. Our focus is on working with organizations to improve access to care, advocacy, training, and medication to treat bleeding disorders. HoG supports the Together Program.
The program provides scholarships for women leaders from all over the Americas to attend NBDF’s Bleeding Disorder Conference to obtain the necessary tools to influence public health policies in each country. We provide global support through a Twinning Program, Humanitarian Aid, Youth Leadership Summit, and the Women's Summit. Read more about our efforts to help empower women in 2024!

Empowering Women in the Americas
According to data from World Federation of Hemophilia, currently, women and girls only represent
4.5% of people identified with hemophilia, instead of the expected 30% globally. This reality
propelled HoG to collaborate with the Coalition of the Americas (COA) and the National Bleeding
Disorder Foundation (NBDF) to start the Together Program. The program provides scholarships for
women leaders from all over the Americas to attend NBDFs Bleeding Disorder Conference (BDC) to
obtain the necessary tools to influence public health policies in each country.
During the 2023 BDC, Hemophilia of Georgia provided scholarships to six women from Argentina,
Colombia, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. After participating in the conference,
these leaders developed projects focused on identifying and diagnosing women and girls,
increasing knowledge about bleeding disorders, and fighting period poverty. A unique aspect of
the Together Program is that HoG staff serve as mentors for the women as they work on their
projects.
HoG is proud to fund, empower, and foster leadership development in Georgia and around the
world.
