Caring people like you were lifelines for Luna and Snowy Owl!

Luna was surrendered when her family lost their home due to a fire. She was sad and confused at being left behind. Today, thanks to the caring people like you who provided support for our adoption program, she has a new home and a family who adore her.

Snowy Owl was homeless. She was brought to us struggling to give birth and would have died without the medical care we were able to give her at the shelter, thanks to the support of caring people like you. Sadly, her kittens didn't make it, but she did, and today, she is healthy and living in a loving home.
Thanks to a generous sponsor, donations received before December 31, 2024 will be matched dollar for dollar up to a total of $50,000!

Bella's Story
There was no sign of Bella. The wind had blown open the gate, and the 19-pound, fifteen-year-old puggle was gone. Her family searched high and low, but Bella—Summer’s first friend and constant companion—was nowhere to be found.
Summer was only four years old when Bella entered her life, and the thought of never seeing her again was unimaginable. While Bella’s family desperately searched, Bella was at ACCT Philly. She had been found late at night, hit by a car, trembling and scared. Her fragile body was badly injured, and she needed urgent care—but with our vet gone for the night and limited staff, we couldn’t provide the level of care she needed at the shelter.
Thanks to generous donors, we could partner with a local veterinary hospital and get Bella the medical attention she desperately needed right away. At the hospital, Bella was given pain relief and carefully examined. Sadly, her right leg was shattered and had to be amputated to save her life.
Meanwhile, Summer’s search continued until one of our dedicated volunteers posted about Bella on social media. A friend saw it and alerted Summer that Bella was safe at ACCT Philly. Summer’s relief turned to worry when she learned about the amputation. Bella’s surgery was necessary, but it was also expensive. Summer was unable to afford it, and for a moment, it seemed like Bella’s future was uncertain.
But again, thanks to people who donated to ACCT's urgent medical fund, Bella got the care she needed. After a successful surgery, she was reunited with her family, where she’s thriving today.
Bella is one of the lucky ones—she’s back home with the people who love her. But many animals who come to ACCT Philly have no one. They’re hurt, lost, and alone, with nowhere to turn except for you and us.
Your support is a lifeline. It turns despair into hope and gives animals like Bella a fighting chance.
