About our WASH-in-Schools Program

The WASH Foundation’s WASH-in-Schools program trains teachers to sustainably incorporate WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) education within annual curriculums, so their students learn the close connection between good health and proper sanitation and hygiene behavior.

This program includes customized upgrades to school sanitation and hygiene infrastructure and provides education to students with a focus on improved habits related to germ transmission, hand washing, hygiene, sanitation, and menstrual hygiene management for girls. With this knowledge, the students become change-makers, sharing improved WASH habits with their families and communities.
