Bridging the Gap for
Breast Cancer
Fund Purpose
The primary purpose of the fund shall be to provide financial support to programs and projects dedicated to efforts related to Breast Cancer.
More about our mission
The primary mission of the Bridging the Gap for Breast Cancer Fund is to provide support to those members of our community affected by breast cancer, either directly or indirectly.
The fund provides Enloe Lymphedema Clinic breast cancer patients with compression garments and other post-surgical needs. We distribute chemo comfort bags to men and women undergoing treatment for breast cancer and assist residents of Butte, Glenn, and Tehama Counties with other issues related to breast cancer.
The fund also provides scholarships to students who plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school. The scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who reside in Butte, Glenn, and Tehama counties and have lost a parent or sibling to breast cancer or who currently have a parent or sibling in treatment for breast cancer. The award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year for purposes such as tuition, fees, and/or books. Scholarship funds are payable directly to the educational institution. Applications will be considered equally without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, political belief, disability, or financial need. The recipients of the scholarship will be chosen by the advisory board of the Bridging the Gap for Breast Cancer Fund.
The fund is supported by Canyon Oaks Country Club, Canyon Oaks Women's Golf Club and North Valley Community Foundation.
