Make a World of Difference for our Veterans.

As we gear up for Giving Tuesday this year, we are reminded of the staggering reality that over 50,000 veterans in Atlanta face severe financial burdens, often leading to homelessness. VEO is committed to implementing sustainable solutions that offer affordable housing and a higher quality of life for veterans. Together, we can provide the resources, housing, and services our veterans need to regain stability and build a brighter future. We invite you to read about our initiatives below and connect with us to learn more about our work. Please reach out to us at development@veohero.org if you have any questions.

Wrap Around Services

VEO’s supportive network provides a comprehensive range of workforce development services, such as job readiness training and financial literacy programs integrated within our housing model. In addition, we're partnering with an Atlanta-based neurosurgeon to tackle challenges like depression, PTSD, and related conditions. These initiatives are aimed at empowering veterans with the skills and resources they need for successful reintegration, long-term stability, and psychological well-being.

A Pathway to Sustainable Employment

Our workforce development programs have grown to include partnerships with local businesses and educational programs, offering veterans a meaningful path to employment opportunities. We are proud to work with incredible partners like Home Depot, Rollins, UPS, QTS, and more to ensure that our veterans have access to stable, fulfilling employment upon completing the program.

Homes for Heroes Initiative

As the need for affordable housing grows, VEO builds homes where veterans and their families can thrive. With completing VEO’s third apartment building, we continue to provide a safe, supportive place for veterans to start their journey toward self-sufficiency. We are excited to partner with a veteran, woman-owned construction company to build our first container-built community, set for completion in 2025. This project will offer safe, affordable housing and a strong foundation for stability.
