Be a hero to a hero this holiday season.

Make your gift go further this Giving Tuesday, and help make a positive impact in the lives of San Diego County Firefighters.

Retired San Diego Fire-Rescue Captain and Crew Chief at Air Ops, Dan King, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2016 and again in 2023, compelling him to retire in 2024 to focus on his health and family. "During cancer treatment and recovery, I was amazed by the compasison and support from FirefighterAid; everything from comfort bags and meals to help with medical expenses and chores around the house."

Firefighters are heroes to us in our worst moments...

but many of us don’t consider what happens to them when tragedy strikes. Firefighters are three times more likely to die from cancer than the general population. This is one reason why FirefighterAid was founded; to care for those who care for us when they need it most. FirefighterAid provides medical hardship grants, cancer prevention education, mental health resources and support for surviving spouses of both active and retired firefighters.

Customize your giving and the impact you want to make for San Diego County firefighters and their families.
