Support Creativity and Empowerment

On International Artist Day, let's celebrate the transformative power of art. Your generous donation will directly support RHD's art programs, empowering individuals to express their unique vision through art, sell their creations, and reach their full potential.

Art Programs at RHD

Blank Canvas Studios
Blank Canvas Studios is a creative arts program for individuals with developmental disabilities. It provides people of all ability levels with the opportunity to create and be celebrated for their very special style of outsider art. We allow our artists to create uninhibited art to the best of their ability.

Center for Creative Works
The Center for Creative Works (CCW) is a unique, creative day service program focusing on arts and arts-based skill-building, education, in-house-generated vocational opportunities, and community involvement for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each day, CCW offers participants opportunities and choices on many levels of involvement, from growth and promotion of personal bodies of artwork to skill building. At CCW, we are committed to an environment where participants learn, engage, create, and take ownership and pride in their work and their place in the community.

Fine Line Studios
Fine Line Studios offers adults with disabilities an outlet for unbridled creativity and self-expression through visual arts, music, and community involvement. We provide individuals with the tools and materials to create art and the support to define themselves as artists.

Imagine That!
Imagine That! is an innovative, creative art studio for people with intellectual disabilities. We offer creativity-based healing and learning opportunities for artists of all abilities, empowering people to realize their creative potential and explore various means of personal expression.

Outside The Lines Studio
The mission of Outside the Lines is to provide individuals with developmental disabilities with the tools and materials to create art and the support to define themselves as artists. Outside the Lines works with artists with a range of disabilities, in particular people whose challenging behaviors or health issues make them poor fits with more traditional day services. Many artists’ works are included in private collections throughout New England. Artists have been successful in local and national juried exhibitions. Outside the Lines welcomes input from volunteers, artists, and galleries. Private viewings are by appointment.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Here is what Elizabeth (Lizzie), a Fine Line Studios artist, has to say:

“I have gotten better at painting, photography, and talking to people.” She expressed her appreciation for the kind staff who help her with everything from working the kiln when making ceramics to selling her artworks. Thanks to the money she makes through art sales, she is able to visit Michaels craft store for “more paints, canvases, and sketchbooks.”
