Corporate Volunteering & Engagement
Why Volunteer as a
Corporate Group at ARLNH
The work accomplished by our volunteers is essential to helping us achieve our mission. When volunteering, you give so much more than just your time. You put your energy, passion, creativity, and talent into every task. The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire (ARLNH) treasures our relationships with local businesses and organizations who support our mission and strive to make our community a better place for animals and the people who care for them.
Corporate volunteering is a fantastic opportunity for companies that are passionate about their communities to make a direct impact. Not only can it help build a positive corporate image and increase employee morale and retention, but by participating in volunteer activities, businesses can also demonstrate their commitment to social responsibility. This, in turn, can have a positive impact on brand reputation and strengthen community relationships.
Together we make tails wag.
Along with educating our community and building awareness, the main objective of group volunteering is to assist staff with cleaning and organization, shelter projects, and enrichment activities. This frees up valuable time for our staff to work one-on-one with adopters and animals who need extra attention.
Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to plan a volunteer opportunity or project your group will be passionate about. Opportunities often include rebagging pet food for the ARLNH Pet Food Pantry Program, outdoor landscaping, and dog walking trail maintenance, deep cleaning or organizing, building furniture, and preparing enrichment toys for our resident shelter pets. Special projects like the one pictured where volunteers helped spruce up our Animal Assistance Office to make it more welcoming to pet owners in need may be available depending on current needs.

Scheduling
Group volunteer opportunities are scheduled Mondays-Fridays between the hours of 10 am- 4 pm. We suggest scheduling half-day volunteer opportunities (4-5 hours), but full-day opportunities may be available depending on the project. Please email our Volunteer Coordinator, Josie Dupouy, at jdupouy@rescueleague.org to request a date and preferred opportunities. Please email your requests no later than 30 days before your preferred date.
Structure of Volunteer Days
In addition to engaging in a meaningful volunteer opportunity, Corporate Group Volunteer Days include a tour of the shelter and the use of our Multi-Purpose Room for an optional team-building exercise activity and/or lunch (self-planned), as well as time to take pictures and spend socializing with a shelter pet following your volunteer project.
