About LYRIC

For 36 years, LYRIC Center for LGTBQQ+ youth has been here for queer and trans youth, providing access to life-saving health resources, housing navigation support, stipends that offer a basic level of income as they pursue their dreams, and identity-affirming programs that allows them to let their guards down and be their beautiful, brilliant selves.

Last program year alone, LYRIC engaged nearly 2,000 Bay Area youth with affirming, expansive programming that ranged from after-school community groups to leadership development to health resources, and so much more.

LYRIC envisions a diverse society where LGBTQQ+ youth are embraced for who they are and encouraged to be who they want to be. By working towards social justice and supporting young leaders, their families and allies, LYRIC is building a world that honors, respects and appreciates LGBTQQ+ youth and their contributions.
