Sponsorship Opportunities

We believe that free community events like ResFest are among the most powerful tools we have to connect with our neighbors, providing a space to discover new resources, opportunities, and engage with others.

With that being said, the operational costs of large events like ResFest quickly add up when you account for permits, equipment, electricity, and other supplies.
YOU can help keep ResFest free and accessible to all with a donation of any amount or sponsoring our event!

Musical Lineup

Master of Ceremonies - DJ TNT

11:30 AM - Edward Hrybyk Quartet

Ed Hrybyk is an upright and electric bassist, composer, arranger, and educator emerging from Baltimore, Maryland.

August 2018 marked the public release of Ed Hrybyk’s debut album of original compositions entitled, “Bright Moments.” The album, recorded at Baltimore's Heartwood Sound Studios, features a cast of all local musicians. Ed received the Maryland State Arts Council’s Individual Artist Award in 2019 for his composition “Stuck.”

The Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 prompted Hrybyk to present two outdoor public music series: The Charm City Porch Concerts and The Baltimore Pop-Up Jazz Jam. These free events continue to occur every week in a different neighborhood from about March to December.

In 2022, Ed was named Baltimore’s Jazz Hero by the Jazz Journalists Association of America for his efforts to continue live music in Baltimore during the pandemic. Ed was most recently named a 2023 Game Changer by Baltimore Magazine.

1:00 PM - Moving History

Moving History teaches the story of African American people through kinetic engagements. The cultural heritage of Black Americans is explored through culinary education, instrumental and vocal music exploration, and movement activities for youth and adults.

Considered by many to be the heart and soul of Baltimore’s jazz scene, multi-instrumentalist Clarence Ward III pours his passion and complex emotions into every note he plays. Whether it's the crisp, agile wail of his trumpet, the sultry warmth of his flugelhorn, or the playful sincerity of his saxophone, his music captivates listeners, ensnaring them in a web of hope and honesty. As a major influencer in shaping Baltimore's current jazz sound, Ward's courageous spirit places him at the forefront, championing jazz as a vital voice for contemporary times.
