Plates of Plenty
Your contribution will help the Mission Food Program of the Westminster Rescue Mission deliver nutritious food to the shelves of our partner food pantries and soup kitchens across Carroll County.
Summertime is the hungriest time for families struggling to pay their grocery bill. More than 27% of students in Carroll County Public Schools rely on free and reduced meals (FARMs) during the school year. When school is closed, family grocery bills go up and the pressure on food pantries increases. Your donation will help families put food on the table.
How our food program operates:
The Mission Food Program of the Westminster Rescue Mission is a leader against food insecurity in Carroll County and plays a pivotal role in putting food on shelves of food pantries across the region. As a redistribution partner of the Maryland Food Bank and through our own partnerships with farms, restaurants, and grocery stores, the Mission Food Program delivers meat, produce, dairy, and dry goods to the communities where they are needed. If you or someone you know are in need of food assistance, visit our Free Food Resource Guide to find pantries and meals sorted by town and by day of the week.
