Food needed for schoolchildren in Haiti.

Recent unrest has triggered a new humanitarian crisis in Haiti. Food and grain prices have skyrocketed as supplies are harder and harder to get. IOCC is working to meet this urgent need by supplying food staples like rice, beans, pasta, and cooking oil to schoolchildren and their families.

Help meet our goal of 300 gifts of $100.

Our goal is to provide an entire month of food for 300 families. If we raise $30,000 by April 30, the entire cost of the program can be covered. Can you help us get food to people in dire need?

IOCC has been working in Haiti since the catastrophic earthquake in 2010. Initially responding with emergency aid, IOCC is now focused on investing in education through a local Orthodox school. Right now we're helping one Orthodox school keep their doors open amid increasing gang violence and unrest, maintaining a safe haven for hundreds of children in the area.

Many people are sheltering in place because of the violence, and
even simple trips to the grocery store are considered unsafe. A recent UN report states that out of 11 million Haitians, 4 million are food insecure and 1 million are at the brink of famine.

Secure one month's food for a family in Haiti.

Just $100 can help feed a child and their family with important food staples like rice and cooking oil.

“If it were not for the school, most of the parents have told me that it would mean an end to their children’s formal education ... While we have hope, we know that we are still in the darkness. Each day we hope that things will be better.”
