Our Work
The Environment, Food and Garden programming at OUSD reaches students through onsite programming in the education center (3 classrooms including a culinary classroom, instructional garden, greenhouse and outdoor learning spaces) and by supporting all school sites with school garden resources, technical assistance, and lessons.
Our program is 100% grant and donor funded. All donations go directly to supporting field trips for 3rd and 6th graders, as well as high school students; summer high school internships; school garden supplies; and staff (including Americorps staff) to manage the programming. We are aiming to create a sustainable budget for the next 3+ years so that we can count on continued operation and eventually grow capacity.
