A place to write.
A place to make music.
A place to paint, sculpt, and draw.
A place to dream.
Founded by Jacqueline Woodson, the mission of Baldwin For The Arts is to support the creation of art that reflects the lived experiences of African, Asian, Caribbean, Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino/a/x, and dual-heritage backgrounds. Join us as we champion and celebrate the creation of art by historically underrepresented artists.
The Baldwin Fellowship Program
Exclusively devoted to people of the Global Majority, Baldwin For The Arts is committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth for literary, visual, performing, and interdisciplinary artists. Your donation supports our signature Baldwin Fellowship program which provides historically underrepresented artists with a private residency that includes exclusive use of a solo workspace, living accommodations, and three prepared meals per day. We also cover transportation costs for all accepted Fellows.
Thank you for helping us preserve history and make history for generations to come!
